Ellie 2016 CroppedEllie commenced dancing at the age of five studying the RAD classical syllabus and soon broadened her dance fields to include training in Jazz, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. She successfully completed her RAD exams up to Advanced 2 level.  Ellie competed in eisteddfods around Queensland in both group and solo categories.  In 2007, Ellie competed in the Showcase National Championship where she won national Jazz Champion and received runner up for Contemporary. During her senior years of high school she had the privilege of dancing with ‘Urban Ignition’, Brisbane’s youth dance company.  She has also performed at major events such as State of Origin.  Ellie has taken part in professional classes with dance companies such as Chunky Move, Expressions Dance Company and Queensland Ballet.

On completion of Year 12 Ellie went on to further her dancing career at QUT, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance as well as a Graduate Diploma in Dance Education, graduating with distinction. She is currently dancing professionally with Phoenix Entertainment, performing at corporate and public events around Australia.  Ellie freelance teaches in schools around Brisbane.  Her professional experience in the dance industry has included performing, guest teaching, choreographing in schools and collaboratively choreographing and performing for Brisbane choreographer Claire Marshall.  She enjoys sharing her passion and love of dance with her students.
